We have an extensive portfolio of work to date across a wide number of sectors. Our extensive design and fabrication experience has enabled us to tackle a myriad of different projects, ranging from large orders of transmission towers to one-off, bespoke art installations.
A select sample of our previous work showcasing the capabilities of our experienced, dedicated team and our extensive fabrication facilities can be found here.
Brastec Cable Winding Carousels
Had-Fab were commissioned to manufacture two, 36-metre diameter cable winding carousels. It saw us supply 320-tonnes of high-specification steel, fabricated to create these huge items.
Heysham HIS Access Platform
This saw Had-Fab design, manufacture and install a huge access platform solution to provide access to HIS equipment at a 400kV substation located near Heysham. The complex layout of the site and equipment made this a challenging structure, but through 3D CAD modelling the design could be proven before fabrication.
Inch Cape Met Tower
In 2014 we fabricated a 93-metre tall steel lattice anemometer mast that now sits 15km off the Angus coast collecting wind data for a proposed offshore wind generation project.
This unique piece was commissioned by artist Anthony Gormley in 2008 , and saw Had-Fab detail, fabricate and undertake site construction of this 26-metre high, 60-tonne crouching man made from galvanized lattice steel. The artwork now sits proudly in Lelystad, near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.
Airdrie Community Health Centre Artwork
For this project we manufactured six galvanized steel and perspex towers each standing 6-metres tall that form part of an art installation in the central courtyard of the new Community Health Centre in Airdrie.
