Had-Fab have recently extended and refurbished their offices to give more space for future expansion. Housed in the offices are the design, drawing and production departments who handle the pre-manufacture phases of a job.
The design office makes extensive use of 3D structural design software as part of the design process, and allows them to create very complex designs with relative simplicity, and from this the drawing office creates fabrication models in TEKLA Structures which highlight any incompatibility in the design and produces the various fabrication and general arrangement drawings which are required for the later stages of projects.
The production department also make use of similar technologies for the manufacture and fabrication. Files from the 3D modelling software can be exported which act as control files for the CNC machinery in the workshop, ensuring the accuracy of the fabrication. These files can be programmed manually for projects which have not come through the design department giving flexibility in the work which can be carried out.
