W. Russell
The company LSD (Lothian Structural Development Ltd), as it was named when it was taken over by the Ayrshire Dockyard Company in 1959, manufactured pylons and towers which carried overhead electricity cables and was located near Macmerry.
LSD continued to operate until approximately 1980 when it closed down and Had-Fab was started up soon after manufacturing similar structures. Click the link below to read a newspaper article about the history of LSD.
